Need suggestions on my Thesis statement for The Great Gatsby? Feel free to reconstruct it if possible?
F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby, makes one ask what is really the American Dream? Is it fine clothes and cars, a house on the hills, and a surplus of money with exceptions of love or Is it all these individual things including love? Some may say neither of these options, however the American society seems to portray a person with riches and popularity as having the American Dream. Jay Gatsby has riches and popularity but knows that his American Dream is in vain without love.
