Fleece for guinea pig bedding?

I have 4 girl piggies and I am currently using kiln dried pine bedding. It's really become a hal since I clean their cage so often and the expense of store bought bedding is getting pricy. I'm considering switching to fleece... but I need some opinions. I think it'd be more practical to just sweep the terds off everyday and switch the layering of fleece and towels underneath. Plus after I wash it I could reuse it. Do you think fleece is a good option? Thankyou
