Why is my room constantly full of dust or how can I prevent so much?

I can't help but notice how my room collects dust so quick all the time. When I do the dusting, it comes back a day and its friggin enoying coz of all my electronics......... I have my own theory, in that cotton (bed sheets, quilts, curtains, carpet) have a major impact on dust levels, but thats just my theory.
